Somatic Experiencing
Your body has been keeping score. It's time to listen.
Trauma, stress, and emotional pain don't just live in the mind -- they live in the body. In the tightness in your chest. The tension you carry in your shoulders. The exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix. Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-oriented approach to healing that works with the nervous system directly, helping to release the physiological activation that talk therapy alone often can't reach.
Does this sound familiar?
This work is for you if...
- --
You understand your patterns intellectually, but you still feel stuck in your body.
- --
Stress, tension, and overwhelm have a physical home in you -- and they're not moving.
- --
Anxiety or trauma shows up as physical symptoms: tightness, fatigue, disconnection, hypervigilance.
- --
You want healing that goes beyond the intellectual -- something that actually settles in your system.
What to Expect
Somatic Experiencing sessions are gentle, attuned, and body-inclusive. We slow down. We notice. We track sensations, impulses, and nervous system responses -- and work with them rather than around them. This isn't about rehashing painful stories. It's about completing the physiological responses that got frozen in time and restoring your nervous system's capacity to find its own balance. Sessions are collaborative and paced entirely by your window of tolerance, held via secure telehealth for clients located in Georgia.
What Becomes Possible
The outcomes you're working toward
A new relationship with your body
Instead of being ambushed by physical symptoms, you'll develop a working relationship with your nervous system -- one of awareness, not alarm.
Regulation from the inside out
Real, embodied tools for settling when you're activated -- not just cognitive reframes, but actual physiological shifts.
Healing that lasts
Somatic work creates change that lives in the body, not just the mind. The kind of healing that holds up in real life, under real pressure.
