Answers to a few frequently asked questions
Reach out through our contact form and tell us, in general terms, what you're navigating and which service you're curious about. From there we'll set up a consultation—a conversation, not a commitment—to talk through whether this is the right fit for you.
You do not need to have everything figured out first. You don't even need to know whether you want therapy or coaching.
Therapy is a licensed clinical service—it can include assessment, diagnosis when appropriate, and treatment, and it is available via telehealth to clients located in Georgia. Coaching is forward-focused, non-clinical work on direction, goals, decisions, and growth. Coaching is not psychotherapy and is not a substitute for mental-health treatment.
Neither is better than the other; they answer different needs. See Therapy or Coaching? for a fuller comparison—and if you're still unsure, just ask. We'll tell you honestly which fits.
All sessions are held virtually. Therapy is provided through secure telehealth, and therapy clients must be physically located in Georgia at the time of each session—that's a licensure requirement. Coaching is also held virtually. Our Telehealth Information page covers what to expect, privacy considerations, and limitations.
We work best with people who genuinely want to move forward but feel stuck despite real effort—people who want to understand themselves, not just be managed, and who are willing to participate in shaping their own life. Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, grieving, uncertain, or stuck does not make you a poor fit.
We're honestly not the right place for someone looking for a rescuer, a guaranteed outcome, or an expert to make their decisions for them. Our whole approach is guidance that increases your autonomy. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so respectfully—and the door stays open.
We'll respond by email, usually within a few business days, to schedule a consultation. In that conversation we'll talk about what you're looking for, answer your questions, and be honest about fit—including whether therapy or coaching serves you better, and whether we're the right people to help. If we aren't, we'll do our best to point you somewhere useful.
Rates and payment options are discussed during your consultation, so you'll know exactly what to expect before committing to anything. If you have questions about using insurance benefits, bring them to the consultation—we'll walk through your options plainly. Transparency about pricing and process is part of how we work.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling whenever possible. Life happens—if something urgent comes up, just let us know as soon as you can.
Please don't wait for a consultation or form response. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. Georgia residents can also call the Georgia Crisis & Access Line at 1-800-715-4225. More options are on our Crisis Resources page.
