Family Therapy
When the people who matter most are struggling to find each other.
Families are complex systems -- and when one part of the system is struggling, everyone feels it. Family therapy at the Luminary Center isn't about identifying who's at fault. It's about understanding how the system as a whole got here, and building a foundation that actually supports everyone in it. Whether you're navigating a crisis or simply trying to communicate better, we meet you where you are.
Does this sound familiar?
This work is for you if...
- --
Communication has completely broken down -- and everyone is speaking a different language.
- --
A major life change -- divorce, illness, loss, a move -- has shaken the whole family.
- --
One person's struggles are creating ripple effects that everyone is absorbing.
- --
You love your family deeply. You just want to actually be able to talk to each other.
What to Expect
Family therapy sessions involve the members of your family who are willing to participate. We start by understanding each person's experience and the patterns that have developed between you. From there, we work on communication skills, boundary setting, and building the kind of emotional safety that allows hard things to be said -- and heard. The pace is set by the family, not a fixed agenda. Sessions are held via secure telehealth for families located in Georgia.
What Becomes Possible
The outcomes you're working toward
Communication that actually works
Each person learns how to express their needs and how to truly hear others -- across generations, personalities, and perspectives.
A healthier family system
Instead of patterns that protect one person at the expense of others, you build dynamics that genuinely support everyone.
Tools to navigate what's next
Life will keep changing. You'll leave with skills to handle the next transition -- together, and with more grace.
