Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Break the cycle of rumination. Reclaim your mind.

MBCT brings together the proven tools of cognitive behavioral therapy with the awareness practices of mindfulness -- creating an approach that's both clinically rigorous and deeply grounding. Originally developed to prevent depression relapse, MBCT has shown remarkable effectiveness for anyone dealing with chronic worry, overthinking, or the exhausting cycle of getting swept away by their own thoughts.

Does this sound familiar?

This work is for you if...

  • --

Your mind rarely stops -- even when your body is still, the thoughts keep coming.

  • --

You've experienced depression or anxiety before, and you want real tools to prevent it from taking hold again.

  • --

Overthinking, rumination, and self-judgment feel like your defaults -- not choices.

  • --

You want to be more present in your own life, not always somewhere else in your head.

What to Expect

MBCT is typically delivered in a structured format that blends session work with between-session mindfulness practice. We'll explore how your mind engages with difficult thoughts and feelings -- and develop the capacity to observe them rather than be controlled by them. You'll learn to recognize the early warning signs of a depressive or anxious spiral and to respond skillfully, rather than reactively. The mindfulness component is practical and accessible -- no prior experience required. Sessions are held via secure telehealth for clients located in Georgia.

What Becomes Possible

The outcomes you're working toward

A different relationship with your thoughts

Thoughts become something you notice -- not something you are. That deceptively simple shift changes everything.

Prevention, not just treatment

MBCT equips you to recognize early signs of mood dips and anxiety spikes, and to respond before they spiral. It's a skill set that protects you long-term.

More presence in your actual life

Less time spent in your head rehearsing the past or the future. More time actually inhabiting the life you've worked so hard to build.
