Grief & Loss

Grief isn't a problem to fix. We'll help you carry it.

Grief is one of the most human experiences there is -- and one of the most isolating. We live in a world that doesn't always make room for it. People expect you to bounce back, to be 'doing better,' to find closure. But grief doesn't work on a timeline, and loss doesn't always fit the categories others recognize. At the Luminary Center, we hold space for grief that's complicated, ongoing, and real.

Does this sound familiar?

This work is for you if...

  • --

You've lost someone -- or something -- significant, and the weight of it is more than you expected.

  • --

You're grieving something others don't quite understand: a dream, a relationship, an identity, a version of the future you believed in.

  • --

People keep telling you to move on, and that pressure is making everything harder.

  • --

You want support that honors the depth of what you're feeling -- not someone who rushes you toward 'okay.'

What to Expect

Grief work at the Luminary Center is unhurried and deeply relational. We don't follow a checklist of stages or push you toward resolution before you're ready. We sit with you in it -- and we help you learn to carry it in a way that doesn't crush you. Over time, we explore meaning-making, identity reconstruction, and what it looks like to live fully again without betraying the love at the center of your loss. Sessions are held via secure telehealth for clients located in Georgia.

What Becomes Possible

The outcomes you're working toward

Space to grieve without judgment

A place where your loss is taken seriously -- exactly as it is, without minimizing, reframing, or rushing you toward feeling better.

The capacity to carry it

Grief doesn't disappear. But it can shift -- from something that flattens you to something you learn to hold alongside everything else you are.

Living forward, not just surviving

Not moving on. Moving through. Reconnecting with meaning, presence, and possibility -- at a pace that honors what you've lost.
